As a multi-departmental dealership with Toyota, Chevrolet, & GMC franchises, a Service Department, Parts Department, Reconditioning Center, and ABRA Body Shop, we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Business Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient processes across all departments.

What You'll Do as Our Accounting Business Manager
As the financial backbone of Sharp Automotive, you will oversee all accounting, payroll, compliance, and operational reporting for the dealership and its departments. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting and Oversight
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and departmental profit and loss reports.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.
Conduct regular reviews of General Ledger (GL) activity, schedules, and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Collaborate with department managers to create budgets and monitor performance against goals.
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financial forecasting.
Payroll Administration
Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for over 100 employees, ensuring accuracy in pay, taxes, and deductions.
Monitor employee timekeeping systems and ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws.
Handle payroll-related reporting, such as W-2s, tax filings, and benefits deductions.
Accounting Operations
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and dealership financial records.
Review vehicle sales documents to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Policy, Compliance, and Auditing
Enforce internal controls to safeguard dealership assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Oversee tax compliance, including sales tax, payroll tax, and other state/federal filings.
Work closely with external auditors to prepare for and complete annual audits.
Team Leadership and Development
Supervise and mentor accounting and office staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
Conduct regular training sessions for team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
Delegate tasks effectively to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines.
Strategic Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive profitability and efficiency.
Partner with department heads to ensure alignment on financial performance, budgets, and operational goals.

Who We're Looking For
We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional who excels in managing complex financial operations in a dealership environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (automotive dealership experience highly preferred).
Proficiency in dealership management software (CDK Global experience is a plus).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
