Whatcom Community College invites applications for part-time, adjunct faculty American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor to teach starting Fall quarter 2025.

Responsibilities
Expectations:
Proficiently use Canvas learning management system if teaching online course.
Develop curriculum and assess learning outcomes.
Provide student-centered equity-based instruction.
Availability to teach in in-person, online, and hybrid.
Align professional practices with the mission of WCC.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies or comparable program from an accredited university.
Certification from the American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching ASL in-person.
Experience teaching ASL online.
Salary
Salary:
$6,178.00 for fall quarter.
Benefits:
Accrues a percentage of 7 hours (equal to the percentage of workload) per month of sick leave (ex. 50% quarterly employment contract x 7 hrs for full-time = 3.5 hrs per month for that quarter.)
Start Date:
Fall quarter 2025-September 23rd, 2025 is the first day of the quarter.
