We are looking for an associate attorney to join our growing team! The ideal candidate will receive their own caseload of matters to work on from commencement through to settlement and/or trial; with the oversight and mentorship of a supervising attorney. The Firm supports remote working and flexible work arrangements; however, the attorney is responsible for making any in person court conferences required on their assigned matters.
This position is for you if:
You are admitted to the NY Bar and have at least 3 years of experience (preferably working in family law / divorce).
You feel comfortable handling motions, appearances, conferences, negotiations, and working directly on files on your own; with the oversight of a supervising attorney.
You are looking for a mentor. We do not believe in "trial by fire" and want to give you the tools you need to succeed because when you do well we all do well.
You have an excellent bedside manner, a good courtroom demeanor, and the ability to plan out your days / work to avoid emergencies.
You have empathy, patience and genuine care for our clients and the other persons you work with. We have cultivated a great team so far and maintaining harmonious inter-office dynamics is just as important to us as great client service.
Responsibilities of the position:
Client care and development / maintenance of the client relationship
Drafting of settlement agreements, pleadings, motions, etc.
Negotiate settlements
Represent clients at trials / hearings in both Family Court and Supreme Court

Qualifications:
JD, licensed to practice law in NY and admitted to the NY Bar - please note, these are required to be eligible for the position
At least 3 years of experience; preferably in family law / divorce
