Job Overview
We are seeking an associate attorney to handle family law. This includes issues regarding divorces, paternity cases, temporary restraining orders, guardianships, adoptions, child support hearings, and Department of Human Services hearings. Experience practicing this area of law is preferred but not required.
The attorney must be licensed in Hawaii , but is allowed to reside anywhere in the world, provided that the attorney is immediately available for phone calls during Hawaii regular business hours. You will be required to be physically present in Hawaii evidentiary hearings, which may once or twice per month. Do not submit an application unless you have a license to practice law in the State of Hawaii.
Duties
Perform client intake.
Draft and issue demand letters.
Handle negotiations.
File cases on behalf of clients.
Attend court hearings by Zoom and in person.
Conduct evidentiary hearings.
Draft and review legal documents.
Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures.
Communicate effectively with clients to update them on case progress and respond to inquiries.
Use Clio law office software.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in Hawaii.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
