The Law Office of Terry Kaiser Park, P.C. is a growing law firm focused exclusively on plaintiff-side medical malpractice litigation in Indiana. We represent individuals and families who have suffered devastating harm due to medical negligence. Our practice is built on integrity, empathy, and excellence in advocacy, with a deep understanding of the complex legal and medical issues involved in these cases.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of civil litigation experience, be a motivated and detail-oriented with a passion for helping injured clients navigate the medical malpractice process. A background in nursing or other healthcare is a plus, but not required. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on litigation experience and receive direct mentorship from a founding attorney with over 43 years of experience in Indiana medical malpractice law.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle cases involving medical malpractice from intake to resolution.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Participate in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.
Collaborate with clients, medical experts, and other attorneys to build compelling cases.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy in client interactions.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Indiana.
Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in personal injury and/or medical malpractice
Nursing background or other healthcare experience or training preferred but not required.
Trial experience preferred but not required.
Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
Self-motivated and willingness to work collaboratively with a team.
Commitment to providing high-quality, client-focused representation.
Willingness to travel within Indiana for case-related matters if needed.

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications, with additional bonus opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:

Understands or is eager to learn the Indiana medical malpractice system, including the role of the IDOI, Medical Review Panels, and PCF
Has a meticulous eye for detail, particularly in reviewing medical records and identifying key issues
Wants to work in a small but strong, mentorship-focused setting with meaningful client relationships with the long-term goal of reaching partnership or eventually opening their own practice
Is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate legal representation
