Our medical malpractice defense firm is currently interviewing attorneys. Ideal attorneys, minimum 2-4 years of civil litigation experience (defense). Billable hour requirement: 1950 hours per year/162.5 per month
Our associates' responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ethically, responsibly, and autonomously handling the day-to-day operations of their cases with little to no supervision and bringing anything relevant to the partner's attention
Keeping track of deadlines (answer deadline, discovery deadlines, etc.)
Drafting same (answers, discovery responses, productions, etc.)
Overseeing nurse, paralegal, and secretary staff to ensure tasks are delegated and instructions are clear
Covering depositions and writing reports for same
Telephone calls with expert witnesses
Assisting nurses and paralegals as needed to organize and prepare which materials need to go to the experts (involves analysis of medical records)
