Opportunity Snapshot:

A locum General Cardiologist is needed in Omaha, Nebraska to provide inpatient rounding, consults, and night call coverage across affiliated hospitals. This role focuses primarily on inpatient care with limited outpatient responsibilities. Coverage helps bridge gaps as several new physicians are scheduled to start mid-2026.

Key Details:

Coverage Dates: January 2026 - July 2026Schedule:

  • Rounding: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Night Call: 4:30 PM - 8:00 AM
  • Days per Month: Minimum 2 weeks per month

Setting: Inpatient rounding, consults, and callDuties: Primarily inpatient consults, limited outpatient responsibilitiesRequired Procedures: None - consults onlySupport Staff: May be independent or have APP supportEMR: Epic

Reason for Coverage: Several new physicians starting mid-2026Average 10 inpatients/campus

Requirements:

  • General Cardiology Board Certified or Board Eligible - Required

  • NE and IA License or IMLC - Required

  • Residency Requirements/Fellowship - Required

  • ACLS, BLS, DEA - Required
