Position Summary
Grace Presbyterian Church in Winona, MN, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Church Accompanist to provide organ and/or piano accompaniment during Sunday worship services and select special services throughout the year. This contract position plays a vital role in enhancing our worship experience and supporting the music ministry of the church.
Key Responsibilities
Provide organ and/or piano accompaniment for weekly Sunday worship services.
Select prelude and postlude music selections for the service
Accompany music for special services including Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve.
Other Contract Opportunities
Additional contact opportunities available by providing music for weddings and funerals in coordination with the pastor.
Qualifications
Proficiency in organ performance and/or piano experience.
Strong sight-reading skills and the ability to follow musical direction.
Ability to work collaboratively.
Experience in improvisation is a plus.
Previous experience accompanying church services preferred.
Schedule & Compensation
Weekly Sunday services as scheduled
3-4 special services annually.
$85 per performance, paid bi-weekly.
