A respected criminal defense firm located in Bellevue, WA, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Criminal Defense Attorney (4849) to join their collaborative team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates and emerging legal professionals to gain hands-on experience in lower-level criminal defense work, managing contracts with cities and counties across Washington. What You'll Do:
Manage a jurisdictional case load of approximately 30 cases per month, ensuring timely and effective legal representation
Develop and strengthen trial, negotiation, and case management skills through ongoing training and mentorship
Coordinate with city and county contracts to ensure compliance and quality defense services
Participate in legal research, documentation, and courtroom proceedings alongside experienced attorneys
Engage in continuous professional development, including DUI and DV defense techniques
Collaborate with a supportive team in a collegial environment that emphasizes work-life balance and communication
What We're Looking For:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and Washington State Bar license in good standing
Interest in public defense, criminal law, and case management; recent grads encouraged to apply with mentorship provided
Excellent communication, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude
In-office presence at our Bellevue location with good parking
