Direct Professional Support (DPS) - Job Description
Responsibilities:
As a Direct Professional Support team member, your role will be to assist individuals with mental and physical disabilities in achieving greater independence in their daily lives. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting members with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Assisting with household tasks, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and managing medication schedules.
Providing transportation to medical appointments, social outings, and other essential travel needs.
Helping with budgeting, ensuring that individuals have access to the necessary resources for financial well-being.
Offering emotional support by engaging in conversations and providing comfort, especially during difficult times.
Accurately documenting and maintaining records of consumer progress and daily activities.
Adhering to all HIPAA guidelines to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of individuals' personal information.
Empowering members to achieve their personal goals and strive for success.
Qualifications:
