Electrical CAD Technician
12 Month Contract to Hire
Onsite in Houston, TX
We are seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to support technical teams of detailers, designers, and engineers for Oil & Gas power delivery projects. The role involves aiding in the development of computer-aided drafting and design solutions
Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.
Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices
Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.
Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.
Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.
Research solutions to project concerns and recommend solutions to design problems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
•2 years minimum experience in electrical projects required
High School Diploma/GED and course work in drafting technology Required or specialized CAD certification Required.
Must have AutoCAD experience. Revit experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field. • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e. without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
