Family Practice - Geriatrics Physician

We are seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician for an outpatient primary care locums assignment at a busy CareMore clinic in Downey, California. This role focuses on adult and geriatric primary care, serving a high-volume patient population in a structured clinic environment with strong APP and staff support.

This is an excellent opportunity for physicians comfortable in a fast-paced outpatient setting, with consistent weekday hours and no inpatient responsibilities.

Position details:
• Adult and geriatric primary care
• High-volume clinic (approximately patients per day)
• Focus on chronic disease management and preventive care

• Experience with HEDIS and quality metrics preferred
• Support from medical assistants and advanced practice providers
• Athena EMR

Schedule:
• Monday Friday
• 8:00am 5:00pm
• Start date: ASAP
• Initial duration: 6 months with potential to extend

Requirements:
• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active California license
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient primary care experience
• DEA and BLS required
• Comfort with geriatric patient population

Interview & onboarding:

• Orientation approximately 1 week
• Credentialing timeline 2 3 weeks
