Altus Fire & Life Safety, d/b/a Fire Systems located in Dartmouth, MA is looking for a Fire Alarm Project Manager to join our team! You'll play a vital role in overseeing fire alarm system projects from start to finish. You'll collaborate with a talented team and ensure projects meet quality standards, are completed on time, and stay within budget. This position involves supporting field personnel, and providing customer assistance, ultimately representing the company as an industry leader.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Utilize fire alarm system experience and code requirements to assist with project sales and estimating. Upon award, turn estimate into project.
Manage and support labor forces, subcontractors, and project foremen throughout installation and large service projects.
Review labor productivity, assess workforce skills, and coordinate training and hiring needs.
Maintain organized project files and facilitate communication across departments, including accounting and invoicing, using our NetSuite platform.
Lead role in purchasing materials and equipment necessary for project completion. Research material pricing and issue PO's.
Attend and lead mandatory site meetings, ensuring project alignment.
Utilize NOTIFIER specific knowledge to provide accurate solutions for our customers.
Conduct job site analyses to uphold safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with management to enhance workflow and prevent disruptions.
Review and provide quotes for projects and change orders, leveraging industry knowledge for accurate labor and material cost assessments.
Prioritize tasks and manage emergencies, adjusting schedules and resources as needed.
Support installation and service projects from pre-construction to completion, addressing conflicts and mentoring field personnel.
Collaborate with the Sales Manager, Service Manager, and Test/Inspection Manager to streamline workflows.
Attend mandatory project meetings, assisting in the field as required.
Interface with design engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain project momentum.
Oversee permitting requirements and liaise with municipalities and inspectors.
Schedule final inspections and turn over project
Track finances throughout project (materials/labor)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
5+ years of industry experience.
Strong knowledge of building and construction management, interpersonal and communication skills, and problem solving.
Technical knowledge of NFPA codes and proficiency in interpreting construction documents.
Functional Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD & Adobe Software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
