JOB SUMMARY

The core duties of the Fund Development Coordinator are to lead the fundraising efforts for the organization. The Fund Development Coordinator will work closely with the Community Engagement Manager to drive and increase contributed revenue from all streams. Writing and distributing appeals, community networking, securing face-to-face solicitation meetings and coordinating communication with major donors and planning/executing fundraising events will be the primary responsibilities of this position.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Helps identify prospective individual and corporate funders and secure face-to-face solicitation meetings for the Community Engagement Manager and/or Executive Director
Identifies prospective major gift donors and moves them through the process from discovery to stewardship, including the coordination of gatherings and events with other major donors
Adheres to the Code of Professional Fundraising Ethics and A Donor's Bill of Rights
Creates and implements comprehensive donor management communication process (utilizing the CRM) to prioritize and track outreach efforts and engagement
Works with the Community Engagement Manager to determine quarterly priorities and action plans for cultivating existing donor relationships and pursuing new streams of funding
Develops and maintains strong relationships with donors, prospective donors, supporters of SPCS, and local community members, organizations, and businesses
Attends networking events to cultivate relationships within the SPCS service area
Assists with the planning, development, and implementation of a strategic plan of action with objectives, timelines, and evaluation measures for the Annual Fund program that includes identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of constituents
Facilitates the tracking and evaluation of results against stated objectives to assure that goals are met or exceeded each fiscal year
Develops and maintains positive and effective working relationships with other staff and volunteers at SPCS
Attends regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings with the Community Engagement Manager
Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and confidential workspace
Performs additional responsibilities as they develop and are assigned

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Technologically savvy; ability to conduct basic troubleshooting when necessary
Flexible scheduling to meet the needs of events and networking experiences
Ownership of insured personal vehicle to attend events, as needed. Mileage is reimbursed at the current IRS rate

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of secondary education
Experience with Fundraising of at least two years is required
