What You'll Do
Diagnose, repair, and install piping systems, fixtures, water heaters (tank/tankless), pumps, valves, backflow devices, and gas lines.
Perform rough-in, finish work, and remodel tie-ins; soldering, brazing, threading, and PVC/PEX work.
Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and code-compliant testing (pressure, leak, combustion where applicable).
Educate customers on findings and present repair/replace options; document work orders with photos/notes.
Read/interpret blueprints, specs, and cut sheets; coordinate with GCs, inspectors, and suppliers.
Maintain truck stock and inventory; submit accurate time, parts, and job closing details.
Follow all safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, ladder safety, PPE).
Participate in rotating on-call for emergency service.
What You'll Bring
Active Connecticut plumbing license in good standing (e.g., P-2 Journeyperson or P-1 Contractor depending on role level).
3+ years of hands-on plumbing experience (service and/or install).
Strong troubleshooting skills and workmanship with attention to detail and cleanliness.
Solid customer communication; ability to explain technical issues in plain language.
Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR; ability to pass background/drug screening.
Comfortable using mobile apps for dispatch, estimates, and documentation.
Nice to Have
Backflow tester certification, medical gas brazing, or tankless manufacturer certifications.
Experience with hydronics/boilers or gas piping sizing/layout.
OSHA-10/30.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Physical & Work Conditions
Lift, carry, and maneuver 50-75 lbs routinely.
Work from ladders, in crawlspaces/attics, and outdoors in varying weather.
Stand, kneel, bend, and reach for extended periods; operate power/hand tools safely.
