Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

About the Firm A well-established, confidential personal injury law firm in Downtown Atlanta is seeking a Managing Litigation Attorney to lead its litigation department. Position Overview The Managing Litigation Attorney will lead a high-performing team, manage a high-volume personal injury caseload, and ensure efficient case progression. The ideal candidate is a seasoned litigator with strong leadership, organizational, and client management skills. Key ResponsibilitiesLitigation Management
Lead the litigation department and supervise support staff
Develop and execute lead generation strategies
Oversee case development and drive cases toward trial or settlement
Maintain accurate and timely case records using case management software
Case Handling
Handle all litigation phases: pleadings, motions, discovery, depositions, and trial
Draft legal documents and court filings
Represent clients in court, mediations, and depositions
Advocate for fair compensation and positive client outcomes
Discovery & Negotiation
Prepare and respond to discovery
Conduct and defend depositions
Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes
Client & Team Relations
Maintain strong communication and guidance with clients
Mentor litigation staff and conduct regular team meetings
Foster a collaborative and professional team culture
Ensure cases are handled effectively and proactively
QualificationsEducation & Licensure
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the Georgia Bar
Experience
Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in personal injury
Proven success in case management through trial or settlement
Experience with lead generation strategies preferred
Proficiency with case management software
Skills
Excellent courtroom presence and advocacy skills
Strong legal drafting and discovery management
Skilled in negotiation and client communication
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively
Team leadership and interpersonal skills
