Godsey Martin is in search of a dynamic, strategic, forward-thinking individual to manage his/her own Personal Injury docket and Team. The ideal individual will be able to handle a high-volume workload, demonstrate exemplary client service, strong leadership and influence over a team that results in high performance productivity.
Attorneys are responsible for managing a Litigation team that will handle the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a work unit that is responsible for approximately 200 - 250 personal injury cases to ensure that clients are educated on litigation and their cases are valued through production on them
Litigate cases for maximum settlement judgements allowed
Take and defend depositions
Attend mediations, hearings, and trials as needed.
Maintain heavy communication with clients, opposing counsel and adjusters.
Negotiate settlements as needed, outside of mediation and trial.
Meet monthly established goals and metrics
Manage performance issues that fall below standards
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
Must have an active TX bar license
JD required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury as an attorney
Minimum of 5 years litigating cases to jury trial
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing staff
Ability to handle a high-volume caseload
Excellent customer service skills
