GENERAL UTILITY MAINTENANCE WORKER

Shift & Pay Details:

Schedule: 2nd Shift - Evenings (Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + 2nd shift differential pay

What you'll do:

Execute daily work orders-install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, building systems, and physical structures
Inspect, test, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing issues; recommend preventive fixes
Disassemble/assemble equipment, replace parts, and keep detailed records
Install/repair electrical systems (24 VDC - 480 VAC), gauges, valves, regulators, and more
Perform general carpentry, drywall repair, painting, furniture moves, and snow/ice removal as needed
Operate welders, forklifts, scrubbers, and other shop equipment; leave every site clean and secure
Communicate with other departments to minimize downtime and support plant goals
Champion Continuous Improvement and strict health & safety standards-everyone goes home safe
Other duties as assigned to keep our facility running at its best

We're looking for

High School diploma/GED (technical coursework a plus)
6-12 months of relevant maintenance experience-or a mix of training and hands-on work
Solid skills with hand & power tools, measuring devices, and powered industrial vehicles
Ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and lay out/fabricate small projects
Working knowledge of motors, pumps, and 260 V/480 V circuits; MIG & stick welding experience (2 yrs+ preferred)
Common-sense troubleshooting and the flexibility to work with minimal supervision
Strong math skills and clear, professional communication
Commitment to reliable attendance, accountability, and safety every shift
Willingness to travel occasionally for off-site projects
