Job description
The role of a Teller is as follows:
-To assist members with their financial transactions, involving receiving and distributing cash and other instruments.
Responsibilities:
-Welcoming members with a smile and providing information concerning the services offered and directing members to the correct departments when inquiring about specific services.
-Receiving and processing financial transactions for members, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers and check cashing.
-Posting transactions to member accounts and maintaining member records.
-Balancing a cash drawer and daily transactions.
-Referring credit union products and services to members and potential members.
-Performing a variety of miscellaneous tasks.
Performance:
-The Teller is the point of contact for the majority of in person and telephone-initiated transactions and inquiries by members. Therefore, the Teller must be able to maintain a professional demeanor, be punctual with attendance, provide dependable and quality service, maintain confidentiality, and consistently display a friendly and accommodating working environment. As a Teller, maintaining consistent and acceptable accuracy with assigned duties, as well as maintaining security on all cash and other items that are under the employee's control is mandatory.
-Additionally, Teller's need to follow all safety and security policies and adhere to all laws, regulations and operational policies appropriate to Valley 1st Community FCU.
Work Location:
In person at main office in Monessen, PA (hours can range anytime between 8:15 and 4:45) and branch location inside Walmart in Belle Vernon, PA (hours can range anytime between 9:45 a.m. and 6:15 p.m.)
Schedule:
Hours vary with an average between 16 to 24 hours per week. At a minimum, 1 Saturday per month at the Walmart location
