About us
Columbia United Church of Christ, an Open and Affirming Congregation, is soliciting resumes from experienced organists seeking to apply for the position of Organist/Accompanist.
The Organist/Accompanist at Columbia United Church of Christ is a salaried position designed to facilitate a nurturing worship environment for our church members and guests through support of our Music Program. The Organist/Accompanist is responsible for accompanying the chancel choir and special ensembles for practices and worship, selecting preludes, offertories and postludes and presenting them in worship, and accompanying congregational hymns. The Organist/Accompanist is expected to be present at church two times each week for worship, practices and meetings or as needed depending on activities (including Sunday mornings). Compensation is based on an average of 10 hours/week, with four Sundays off each year.
