Join Our Team as a Pediatric Anesthesiology Locum Physician Make a Difference in Dayton, OH

Elevate your medical career by providing critical anesthesiology coverage at Dayton Children's Hospital. This is an exceptional opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic, hospital-based setting while enjoying professional growth and competitive compensation.

In this role, you will support Dayton Children's Hospital during a temporary staffing need from August 10 to November 16, 2026, covering approximately 50-60 surgical cases daily within a Level 1 Trauma Center. You ll work weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, supervising CRNAs and managing a diverse patient demographic from neonates to adults, contributing to a collaborative team of healthcare professionals committed to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide anesthesia care in hospital operating rooms
  • Supervise CRNAs within a care team model
  • Maintain patient safety across a wide age range
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, techs, surgeons, and APPs
  • Cover a busy surgical schedule, managing up to 60 cases per day

Required Skills:
  • Valid medical license in Ohio
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Anesthesiology
  • Extensive experience in pediatric anesthesia
  • Ability to supervise CRNAs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience in Level 1 Trauma Centers
  • Skilled in managing neonatal to adult patient care
  • Knowledge of hospital-based anesthesia protocols

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program
  • Minimum of 2 years of pediatrics and trauma-level anesthesiology experience

Other Requirements:
  • Confirmation of current credentialing and licenses
  • Completion of facility-specific onboarding (fingerprinting, documentation)
  • Willingness to travel as needed (travel expenses reimbursed)
  • Certification in CPR, ACLS, and other relevant credentials
  • Ability to start promptly on the scheduled date
