Job description

Pinecrest Construction & Development Co., based in Reno, Nevada, provides a wide range of commercial construction and construction-related services for projects of varying scope, budget, schedule and complexity. Established in 1991. Pinecrest constructs a variety of products including Multi-Family, Retail, Office, Metal Buildings, Self-Storage and Tenant Improvements. The successful candidate must be able to work cooperatively with a project manager on 2-4 projects and have a very good project management skills and computer skills. Candidate will be very proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office products. Candidate should have familiarity with Procore and the ability to fully integrate into the Procore suite of tools within 3 months of starting.

Project Engineer

Primarily the candidate will support project manager with jobs once they are going into contract and starting construction. Critical skills for the position include the following:

Effectively prioritizes and schedules scope of work to meet deadlines.
Tracks and manages project costs in relation to the established budget.
Effectively coordinates with subcontractors, materials and equipment.
Effectively communicates with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors and other Pinecrest personnel.

Project Management Assistance

The candidate will assist in the development and execution of projects with the project manager from the bidding phase to job closeout. Candidates will have some, if not all, of the following skillsets:

Assist with the entire competitive bid process on projects as assigned.
Reviews proposals/bid documents to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Identifies potential conflicts.
Assist in the coordination of bid packages and bid solicitations utilizing RFPs.
Reviews scopes of work for sub-trades prior to and during bid solicitation.
Verifies the take-offs for multiple trades to minimize PCI's cost risks.
Analyzes proposals from subcontractors for cost, scope and completeness.
Coordinates the preparation of subcontracts, purchase order agreements and cost control budgets.
Facilitate and distribute any relevant documents or information to all parties involved to ensure accurate project progression based on the most current details
File management of project related data including, but not limited to, plans, permits, contracts, bid documents, and submittals

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Experience managing commercial and tenant improvement projects preferred.
Strong computer literacy. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Bachelor or Associate Degree in Construction Management or Engineering degree is preferred.
Ability to assist managing projects with a project manager as a project engineer.
Ability to juggle multiple projects, keeping each on schedule and ensuring all deadlines are met.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience with Procore and Bluebeam preferred

Job Type: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am-4:00p.m. or 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay: $62k-$82k depending on years of direct work experience and education
