At Newman Hospitality, we seek a proactive and detailed oriented part-time Property Inspector with excellent organizational and time management skills ideally based in Marathon, FL to work between our luxury properties from Summerland key to Islamorada.

This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality guest experience by ensuring short-term rental properties meet the company's standards for cleanliness, maintenance, guest readiness, and overall presentation.

What does your day look like:

Conduct thorough inspections of short-term rental properties before guest check-in and after check-out, following checklists and inspection protocols to ensure consistency across properties.
Verify that all cleaning tasks have been completed to company standards.
Ensure all amenities, linens, and supplies are properly stocked and staged.
Confirm functionality of electronics, appliances, HVAC systems, locks, and plumbing.
Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to resolve issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and property management teams.
Document and photograph any damages, missing items, or irregularities
Maintain accurate inspection reports and track issue resolution.
Complete minor maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., light-bulb replacements, batteries, tightening fixtures, basic troubleshooting).
Assist with inventory tracking, stocking, and organization at the office or storage areas.
Support with office inventory management and organizational tasks.
Assist with staging/stocking or last-minute prep (e.g., placing welcome items, adjusting décor).
Support the team during turnovers, guest stays, or special projects as needed.
Light guest concierge services and guest gifting.
Regular travel between properties and local office based in Islamorada.

You are a good match if you have:

Prior experience in hospitality, vacation rental operations, housekeeping, or property maintenance.
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Basic maintenance skills required (e.g., using hand tools, identifying issues, performing small repairs).
Comfortable using mobile inspection checklists or apps (e.g., Breezeway).
Basic understanding of local rental regulations and safety standards is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Flexibility and a proactive attitude are essential.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or property management is a plus.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and high turnover periods as needed.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
