Position Overview
Mid-level design position focused on sitework grading and drainage projects, supporting utility infrastructure development through advanced 3D modeling and technical design leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Produce complex 3D models and design drawings for sitework grading and drainage systems
Prepare detailed project layouts and conceptual designs
Review and approve vendor drawings and specifications
Generate material takeoffs and support cost estimation processes
Travel to project sites and client locations (25% travel required)
Required Qualifications
5-7 years of related design experience
Technical degree preferred (Engineering, Design, or related field)
Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
Knowledge of environmental regulations (Ga-EPD, ADEM, MDEQ, Florida DEP)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external vendors
Must reside within 1 hour of The Energy Center
Preferred Skills
3D modeling software experience
Utility or infrastructure project background
Field construction knowledge
Mentoring and training capabilities
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
