Job Title: Senior Associate Attorney
Location: Los Gatos, CA (Hybrid Work Schedule)
Work Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Job Description: Our law firm, located in Los Gatos, CA, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate Attorney to join our team. We value a hybrid work environment and are flexible with remote work; however, the successful candidate must be available for in-person court appearances as required.
Core Responsibilities:
Manage Family Law Cases : Handle family law cases from intake to resolution with minimal oversight, ensuring each case progresses efficiently and effectively.
Court Appearances : Appear in person for court proceedings, hearings, and trials as necessary to represent clients' interests.
Client Communication : Provide legal advice and counsel to clients, keeping them informed about case developments, and ensuring their needs are met throughout the process.
Drafting and Negotiation : Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other case-related documents; negotiate settlements and manage mediation sessions.
Training and Mentorship : Train and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth and encouraging a supportive, collaborative work environment.
Achieve Billable Goals : Proactively work to meet or exceed billable hour targets and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
Case Management : Ensure the efficient management of cases, including maintaining accurate case files, adhering to deadlines, and collaborating with paralegals and other staff.
Stay Informed : Keep up-to-date with current family law statutes, case law, and best practices to provide clients with the best possible legal representation.
Requirements:
Active California Bar License.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in California family law.
Proven capability to handle cases independently from start to finish.
Strong commitment to mentorship and team development.
Performance Metrics:
Achievement of billable goals.
Contribution to team collaboration and mentorship.
Adherence to the firm's core values in daily practice.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $175,000
