Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity in Springfield, OH

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgeon for call coverage at a high-quality medical facility located in Springfield, Ohio. The Springfield Regional Medical Center features a robust 250-bed capacity, including 60 ICU beds, and offers an onsite lab and x-ray. With a dedicated team of physicians and mid-levels, you'll be an integral part of a community-focused healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide surgical care for adult patients requiring cardiovascular, thoracic, or vascular procedures.
• Perform the following required procedures:
  • General CV/Thoracic/Vascular Surgeries
  • Coronary artery bypass surgery
  • Correction of congenital defects
  • Valvular repair/replacements
  • Aneurysm repair
  • Lung resection (including VATs)
  • Chest wall/pleural procedures
  • Esophagus/diaphragm surgeries
  • Endarterectomy (Carotid & Renal)
  • Ventilation management
  • Bronchoscopy
  • Evaluation & management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Participate in shared call and weekend coverage as needed.
• Utilize the EPIC documentation system for maintaining accurate patient records.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Active Ohio state medical license.
• Clean professional record.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.
• Ability to cover specified dates as outlined.
• Submit a Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days of presentation).

License and Certification Requirements:

• OH state license - REQUIRED
• MUST HAVE CLEAN RECORD - REQUIRED
• COVID Vaccine - REQUIRED
• MUST BE ABLE TO COVER LISTED DATES - REQUIRED
• Self-Query NPDB report is mandatory at the time of presentation - REQUIRED
