Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in swimming and physical education. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging swim lesson plans tailored to the needs of individual students.
Teach swimming techniques, water safety, and personal water safety skills.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding progress and any concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after lessons.
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to promote a positive learning environment.
Skills
Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate various techniques.
Experience working with students in a teaching or coaching capacity is desirable, although we will train you in our curriculum.
Background in physical education, sports coaching, or childcare is highly desirable.
Knowledge of lifeguarding principles is a plus.
Familiarity with martial arts such as Karate or Judo can enhance teaching methods.
Ability to climb, swim, and perform physical activities related to swimming instruction.
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students of all ages and their parents.
Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards teaching.
Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
