About the Position:

As a member of our team, the Technical Project Manager is crucial for overseeing multiple projects for Watts Marine customers. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager to oversee and execute various projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves managing resources, communicating with stakeholders, and mitigating risks to ensure smooth project operations. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential for success in this role.

What You'll Do:

Organize and manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks and requests in the company's best interest

Coordinate various partners and stakeholders throughout the project

Consistently measure project performance cost and hours throughout the project duration

Generate and maintain project schedule and milestones

Establish work plan for each phase of the project and arrange/assign project personnel

Review project scope and documents to determine equipment and procedures required to successfully complete projects

Assist with design of new electrical projects and problem solve current electrical equipment at various company sites

Manage corporate and contractual documents, ensuring Watts Marine rights are protected

Prepare and review submittals and shop drawings. Ensure drawings are correct, submitted for approval, and field personnel have correct drawings and approved submittals at all times

Prepare bills of material and scope of work documents for subcontractors and suppliers

Maintain and enhance customer relationships and generate new opportunities

Generate estimates and establish project budgets. Prepare and submit proposals.

Interview subcontractors and suppliers

Monitor and enforce company safety policies and practices on all projects

Maintain contact with partners and customers

Attend required meetings

Ensure all permitting requirements are met

Manage subcontractor and vendor performance and compliance

Evaluate completed projects for areas of improvement

Ensure positive and timely communications with all parties

What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or electrical sub station on the job experience

3+ years' experience in project management

2+ years' experience related to electric utility automation or an equivalent combination of education and experience

4+ years' experience directly related to electrical engineering or equivalent field

2+ years' experience in electrical engineering or electrical theory (preferred)

2+ years' Medium voltage or Field Equivalent (preferred)

Construction Management experience (preferred)

Strong working knowledge of databases and ability to learn and implement new software quickly

Experience managing testing and troubleshooting solutions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Ability to manage multiple team members

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, database entry, and project management tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $101,000.00 - $121,000.00 per year
