Job Overview
We are seeking attorney remote work based on experience and able to work at Chicago or Arlington Hts. office. Person must be dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney or partner based on experience to join our legal team. The position is replacing a retiring partner. We will teach other areas of law if attorney wants to learn. Pi and work comp experience would be nice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of work comp and we will train in other areas if the attorney so desires. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Associate Attorney/ partner will work closely with clients to provide sound legal advice and representation while contributing to the overall success of our firm. Profit sharing and bonuses.
Responsibilities
Provide legal counsel and representation in areas such workers' compensation.
Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements with precision.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while striving for favorable outcomes.
Assist in litigation processes by preparing cases for trial and representing clients in court as needed.
Maintain organized records and files within the law office to ensure efficient case management.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and contribute insights based on thorough research and analysis.
Skills
Strong knowledge of various areas of law including workers' compensation law.
Proficient in legal research methodologies using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
Experience in litigation processes and familiarity with court procedures.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
