Job Overview
We are seeking an associate attorney to handle employment law. This includes issues regarding workers compensation, breach of contract, employment agreements, wages and hours, workplace safety, discrimination, termination of employment, and all other disputes between employers and employees. Experience practicing this area of law is preferred.
The attorney must be licensed in Hawaii, but is allowed to reside anywhere in the world, provided that the attorney is available during Hawaii regular business hours. You will be required to be physically present in Hawaii evidentiary hearings, which may only happen once every few months. Do not submit an application unless you have a license to practice law in the State of Hawaii.
Duties
Persuade potential clients who contact the law firm to become clients.
Draft and issue demand letters.
Handle negotiations.
File lawsuits on behalf of clients.
Attend court hearings by Zoom and in person.
Draft and review legal documents.
Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures.
Communicate effectively with clients to update them on case progress and respond to inquiries.
Use the Clio law office software.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in Hawaii.

Pay: $78,154.83 - $130,000.00 per year
