Job Description
Sapere Law & Mediation is seeking several Family Law Litigation Attorneys to join our high-performing boutique firm. This is a hybrid work position, requiring several days in the office and permitting 2-3 days per week remote working. We focus exclusively on high-quality family law litigation and mediation in Riverside and San Diego Counties.
This is an ideal position for a confident litigator who values autonomy, mentoring from senior partners, and is focused on mastering the craft of effective advocacy both in and out of the courtroom. Sapere Law delivers white-glove service to clients, and blends a collegial atmosphere and professional excellence with flexibility and trust. Many of our cases are complex, and all are high-quality matters for respectful, financially stable clients. We will consider candidates who desire to pursue family law and who have other litigation experience.
Key Responsibilities
Handle family law litigation with Senior Attorney oversight, through trial
Litigate issues including custody, support, property division, and domestic violence
Implement sophisticated discovery strategies; take depositions, generate and respond to written discovery
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials
Collaborate with attorneys, staff, and expert consultants
Deliver exceptional client care with consistent communication and strategic advocacy
Maintain a limited caseload to allow for individualized, high-touch service
Qualifications
California family law litigation experience in California preferred, but other litigation experience will be considered
Juris Doctor from a top-tier, ABA-accredited law school
Trial practice or clinical litigation experience in law school
California State Bar license in good standing
CFLS certification a plus
Strong courtroom presence and negotiation skills
Strong discovery skills
Excellent legal writing, attention to detail, and case management skills
High emotional intelligence, effective "plain english" communication skills and client-focused approach

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $125,000-$210,000 DOE. We are seeking several levels of experience.
Quarterly bonuses for performance over the annual minimum 1500 billable hours requirement
