Job Title: Immigration Reporting and Compliance Consultant
Position Type: 12 month Contract
Location: Fredericksberg (5 days a week onsite)
Pay Range: $40/Hr
Summary
The Immigration Reporting and Compliance Consultant (Contractor) will provide expert-level support for employment-based immigration processes with a strong focus on data reporting, dashboard development, and compliance.
This role partners closely with HR teams, external immigration counsel, and internal technology teams to ensure high-quality case management, accurate reporting, and proactive compliance governance.
On-site work in Fredericksburg, VA is required to support key projects, including the digitization of physical Public Access Files.

Reports To: Senior Director of Immigration
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter resource on employment-based U.S. immigration (e.g., H-1B, PERM, green card processes).
Support case management, tracking, and coordination with external immigration counsel.
Prepare and maintain detailed immigration reporting, metrics, and executive dashboards.
Partner with HRIS/PeopleTech teams to design and implement automated, real-time reporting solutions in internal systems (e.g., Workday dashboards, Excel models).
Maintain an accurate master list of sponsored employees, including visa status, expiration dates, and case milestones.
Analyze immigration data to identify trends, gaps, and compliance risks.
Monitor critical dates (visa expirations, filing windows) and support timely renewals/extensions.
Assist with compliance activities, such as I-9 reverification, Public Access File maintenance, and audit readiness.
Participate in on-site digitization of Public Access Files and other physical documentation.
Communicate proactively with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Immigration Counsel about immigration requirements and timelines.
Recommend process improvements and support documentation of immigration workflows and policies.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience supporting corporate immigration programs, global mobility, or HR compliance.
Strong understanding of U.S. employment-based immigration processes and documentation requirements.
Demonstrated experience preparing immigration reports and building dashboards (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Workday reporting).
Ability to translate immigration data requirements into clear technical specifications for HRIS/PeopleTech partners.
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; familiarity with Workday preferred.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
