Job Description:
As a Plant Health Care Technician and Lawn Applicator, you will be a key player in ensuring the health and vitality of some of the most pristine landscapes that the world-renowned Hamptons have to offer. Your role involves the safe and effective application of pesticides and fertilizers to control pests, diseases, and promote plant & turf health. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to environmental stewardship, and the ability to work collaboratively with our landscaping and maintenance teams.
Your responsibilities will go beyond applying pesticides and fertilizers, as your eyes and attention to detail on these sites will be crucial to relaying important information about the health and condition of the properties to the operations and account managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely and accurately apply pesticides, repellants, and fertilizers to designated plant materials and turf areas in accordance with label instructions and industry best practices.
Conduct thorough inspections to identify and diagnose pest and disease issues in the landscape.
Collaborate with the landscaping and maintenance teams to develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
Keep detailed and organized records of pesticide applications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain a neat and clean work vehicle.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and advancements in pesticide application techniques.
Qualifications:
Valid 3A pesticide technician license.
Valid Driver's license.
Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) principles.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent communication skills.
