We are seeking an experienced matrimonial and family law attorney to join our team as a senior associate or partner, depending on qualifications and experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated practitioner to play a leadership role in a well-established firm with a modern and collegial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Handle complex divorce and family law matters, including custody, child support, equitable distribution, and pre-/postnuptial agreements
Lead settlement negotiations, mediations, and collaborative law matters
Serve as lead counsel in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, trials, and appeals
Supervise and mentor associates and support staff
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and results
Contribute to business development, marketing initiatives, and firm growth
Provide strategic leadership within the divorce & family law practice group
Ensure compliance with ethical standards, court rules, and firm policies
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission in good standing to the New York State Bar
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling divorce and family law matters (more experience strongly preferred for partner consideration)
Proven ability to manage complex matrimonial litigation as lead counsel
Strong negotiation skills, mediation and collaborative law training preferred
Established client base and demonstrated ability to develop new business
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
Leadership, supervision, and mentoring experience
Strong reputation for integrity and professionalism in the legal community
Familiarity with local courts, judges, and procedures
Active involvement in bar associations and professional organizations
Commitment to client service, ethics, and firm values

Compensation for qualified professionals starts at $165,000 and is adjusted upward based on experience.
