About the Role
Imagine Swimming is seeking a passionate and experienced Montauk Site Director to oversee the daily operations of our premier facility. This is a leadership role focused on optimizing class management, staff development, and facility performance-all in service of delivering a safe, engaging, and welcoming experience for our students, families, and team members.
As the Flagship Site Director, you'll champion Imagine Swimming's mission and values, uphold the highest safety and service standards, and lead a talented team of aquatic professionals. This role requires a hands-on leader with exceptional organizational, communication, and people skills.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Leadership & Development
Recruit, onboard, mentor, and support a diverse staff.
Observe performance, deliver feedback, and create improvement plans.
Manage staff schedules.
Mediate employee concerns and conflicts.
Inspire and grow team members into strong leaders.
Class Management
Oversee class organization, ensuring age/skill level appropriateness.
Monitor new sign-ups and coordinate schedule adjustments.
Address mismatched classes, pool closures, and rescheduling needs.
Communicate with families about policies, class changes, and feedback.
Track and prioritize sibling enrollment and follow up on trial lessons.
Facility & Operations Oversight
Ensure compliance with all DOH, ADA, and internal standards.
Maintain complete and accurate pool logs and inspection records.
Supervise and train Pool Operators, Deck Supervisors, and more.
Coordinate maintenance, safety inspections, and emergency repairs.
Manage supplies, vendor communication, and facility cleanliness.
What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 7-10 years of related experience.
3+ years in a management/supervisory role.
3+ years experience teaching swim lessons to all levels (preferred).
2+ years of customer service experience in children's extracurriculars.
1+ year of staff management in a child-focused environment.
Certifications (Required or Willing to Obtain)
American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR PRO
Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent
Lifeguard Instructor or Lifeguard Management (preferred)
Infant/Toddler instructor certification (preferred)
Imagine Pool Operations Training (provided upon hire)

Working Environment & Physical Demands
Exposure to pool environments, chemicals, and mechanical areas

Physical requirements include swimming, lifting (up to 50 lbs), stair climbing, squatting, and occasional crawling
Comfortable wearing safety gear when needed
